Time to Clean House on CNN

So CNN posted an article on their website stating that the GOP has suffered a dramatic decrease in “approval” ratings.  I would like to say “No sh*t!” How could anyone think that the Republican controlled House would come out of this unscathed?  Considering how Boehner went on national television to tell everyone that he got “98%” of what he wanted out of the deal.  So he wanted to not raise the country’s revenue (i.e. increased taxes of the richest people)? YES!  Standard and Poors specifically commented that the credit downgrade was due to two factors: too much long term debt and NO INCREASE IN REVENUE.  Seems as though everyone wants to point the finger, but it is pretty clear that the partisan rhetoric and posturing during the debt talks really affected our economy this time.  Here is the kick in the balls for me, why wasn’t the debt ceiling passed when the Democrats had controll of the Senate and the House?  I’m not sure why, but it seemed to me that every progressive Democrat was only concerned with saving their seat.  Democrats are just as responsible for this eff up as the other side of the aisle.  The main point being that our government is completely screwed, and all the too willing to screw us in the process.  Our political system has been broken for a long time, but now people are actually seeing why.  Two party systems don’t create a democratic process, they only create teams we belong to and support.  We are so screwed.

This is my new endeavor to see if I can get some people I know (and people I don’t know) to become more interested in music.  We all know that person (and I am probably the person in my group) who has “discovered” this new band, and has made it their personal mission to inform everyone about them.  That is not the persona of this blog.  I want to discover music, and bring along people for the ride.  So I might be behind a little on some of these groups, but this is a process of discovery.  So come on, let us sallyforth!
